Role Profile: The role: We are looking to recruit an organised individual with a growth mindset to join our Guernsey based team of experienced Client Services staff who are key in supporting the business to achieve its continued delivery of excellent client service to our Financial Intermediary clients with their day-to-day banking requirements. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, innovative, and keen to learn new skills to expand their existing knowledge base in order to deliver an exceptional client experience in both general Banking and execution only Custody services. They will also have the ability to challenge processes and procedures then suggest and help implement improvements, whilst maintaining controls. Core responsibilities include: Day to day support of the Bank's Financial Intermediary clients including: - Preparation and approval of custody instructions from Intermediary clients. A full understanding of custody dealing, including equities, bonds and mutual funds/unit trusts is required. Maintenance of the business's Financial Intermediary Online Users and supporting clients utilising our online banking services. Preparation and approval of manual, fax and online payments, plus foreign exchange transactions. Fixed deposit monitoring and action. Supporting the Business Developers with client engagement and entertainment, as required. To assist with ongoing service reviews, monitoring output to identify trends, training needs or successes, then feeding information back to the relevant business head to address. Handling daily telephone and email queries from clients. Client communication by email, mail and telephone. Opening of additional sub-accounts for existing clients. Ensuring client records are kept up to date e.g. addresses for correspondence, authorised signatory lists, change of Trustees and Administrators etc. To carry out ad hoc tasks and to own related projects as required from time to time, including input and support to any projects initiated by regulatory changes. Identify trends in relation to flow of deposits from the Financial Intermediaries client base into/out of the Bank and highlight to the relevant member of the business development team. To continue to drive ideas to be constantly improving the delivery of client services to our clients. Working with other teams within the Bank:- Promoting the Bank's online and corporate swift capability to increase usage by clients (payments, view and reporting). Supporting the roll-out of enhancements and updates. Identifying process or product enhancement opportunities from internal and external client feedback. Providing input on design and testing support for new online banking releases. Assist the Operations teams with relevant queries and provide input and/or support for projects. Inter-team/group referrals – identifying sales opportunities for other areas of the Bank within the IBCI Financial Intermediary client base and passing to the relevant department. Knowledge:- Knowledge/awareness of the Financial Intermediaries market in Guernsey, Jersey, IOM and Geneva. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Safe Custody. Good understanding of banking and payment systems. Good understanding of the account opening, CDD and risk review/assessment processes.
