Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 13 August 2025

Wednesday

Weather

A cloudy day, with the exception on some bright intervals in the afternoon and evening. The cloud will be low I’m afraid, much like on Tuesday morning, meaning that the airport will be at risk of fog patches, so some flight disruption is possible again. Winds will be from a similar direction to Tuesday (WSW’ly) but much lighter and therefore much more comfortable (light force 2, occasionally light force 3). St Peter Port will be notably warmer than other areas, peaking at 22-23°C, rather than just 20-21°C.

Surf and the Water

Clean 2 foot surf on the west coast, and great conditions in all areas for swimming and paddle-boarding. High water will be around 10am (9.1m), then again at 10:20pm. Low water will be around 4:20pm.

Thursday

Weather

Virtually no wind, meaning that max temperatures will entirely depend on how quickly the cloud burns away. My best estimate is that the sunshine should be blazing by 10am or sooner, so we will probably see a widespread and very comfortable max of 22-23°C, with a possibility of touching 24°C in Town.

Surf and the Water

Clean 1-2 foot surf on the west coast, and great conditions in all areas for swimming and paddle-boarding again. High water will be around 10:45am (8.8m), then again at 11pm. Low water will be around 5pm.

Friday and The Weekend

Weather

With winds flipping round to the eastern half of the compass, we can guarantee warmth, dryness and bountiful sunshine. However, the day to day differences in wind strength and most importantly wind direction (between NE’ly and ESE’ly) will really determine whether or not we are bestowed any of the more extreme heat from nearby France. Currently, it looks as though Friday’s breeze will be a force 3-4 NE’ly, then Saturday’s and Sunday’s a force 4-5 E’ly or perhaps even ESE’ly. Any hint of north in the wind direction will keep max temperatures firmly in the mid-twenties, but any hint of south will take us quite easily to the high twenties. My best estimates at the moment are for a max of 24°C on Friday, and 26-27°C on the subsequent days. Unlike Tuesday to Thursday, these days will be warmest in the southwest of the Island rather than the southeast. And it’s also worth noting that the nights will be warm too, with minimum temperatures of between 18°C and 20°C, so don’t forget to stay well hydrated, in order to rest well after the heat of each day.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be virtually flat, and the wind too strong for paddleboarding. Good conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing though. And pretty good for swimming in the sheltered spots (which will mainly be around high tide). High water will be around 11:20am Friday, midday Saturday and 1pm Sunday (shrinking incrementally from 8.4m to 7.3m). Low water will be around dawn and dinnertime.

The next forecast update will most likely be on Friday…
