Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 05 August 2026

Wednesday

Weather

Chance of a shower or two early morning, but otherwise dry and increasingly sunny. A bit windier than the previous day though… WNW’ly moderate force 4 (perhaps occasionally fresh force 5), therefore a little cooler too… max temp just 20°C in most places but 21°C in Town. Winds then decreasing overnight, allowing temperatures to fall to a minimum of 15°C.

Surf and the Water

Choppy but very rideable 2-3 foot waves, probably the best crack at an actual surf that we’ve seen for over a week. Windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions will be semi-decent too. Swimming conditions will be best on the east coast, and reasonably good on the south coast too. High water will be 8m at 11:30am. Low water will be at 5:40pm.

Thursday and Friday

Weather

Maybe a little cloudy on Thursday morning, and perhaps also towards lunchtime on Friday. Otherwise, it’s looking sunny on the whole, but the air will be inherently cool, having arrived on a light force 3 NW’ly breeze through Thursday and a light force 2 NE’ly through Friday. Max temps will be about 21°C again on Thursday. Friday should rise to 22°C though, and the lack of wind will make it feel really comfortable. Night time temps will be most notably low… 12°C for the Thursday night min and 13-14°C for the Friday night min.

Surf and the Water

Sloppy 2 foot surf on Thursday but virtually flat on Friday. Swimming, kayaking and paddle-boarding conditions will be ok on Thursday but even better on Friday. Tides will be high at lunchtime (7.6m Thursday and 7.3m Friday). Lows will be around breakfast time and dinnertime.

The Weekend

Weather

Both days dry and sunny. As the wind veers from a force 2 E’ly to a force 3 SE’ly through Saturday, some imported French heat will take us to an impressive max temp of 25-26°C. Sunday will see a return of force 3-4 W’ly winds though, taking max temps back down to 22 or 23°C though. West coast for the best of Saturday, east coast for the best of Sudnay.

Surf and the Water

Probably some clean 1 foot surf on Saturday afternoon (rideable for kids and SUPs at the very least). Then maybe some choppy 2 foot waves on Sunday. Swimming, kayaking and paddle-boarding conditions look gorgeous on the west coast on Saturday and then the east coast on Sunday. Low tides will be in the early to mid mornings. Highs will be in the mid-afternoons (7.1m Saturday and 7.4m Sunday).

Monday and Tuesday

Weather

Staying dry and sunny and temperatures returning to very warm or hot. Monday’s NW’ly breeze falling very light, if not flat calm, then Tuesday’s increasing ESE’ly wind bringing another dose of French toastiness.

Surf and the Water

It’s by no means certain, because many wave models are just suggesting flatness, but with a decent low pressure system mid-Atlantic there is certainly a chance of some clean 3-4 foot waves coinciding with some lovely warm/hot weather. Great swimming, kayaking and paddle-boarding conditions on all coasts on Monday. High tides will be around dawn and dinnertime (increasing incrementally from 7.6m to 8.7m). Low tides will be at lunchtime.

The next forecast update will be on Sunday morning…
