Wednesday
Weather
Much like the previous day, there could be some low cloud and mist in the morning. Perhaps on this occasion though, it will be more in the second half of the morning. Sunshine should prevail again in the afternoon though, albeit this time a couple of degrees cooler, due to a light force 3 W’ly breeze. Max temps will therefore be 24°C in Town and 22-23°C in most other parishes. Overnight, the skies will be mostly clear, allowing the temperature to fall to around 15°C.
Surf and the Water
Flat surf but good swimming conditions on all coasts in the morning and then on the south and east coasts in the afternoon and evening. Tides will be high around 7:30am and 7:40pm (8.1m and 8.5m respectively). Low tide will be at 1:40pm.
Thursday and Friday
Weather
A mostly cloudy Thursday morning, followed by an increasingly sunny afternoon. Friday should then be mostly (if not entirely) sunny. The temperature actually sliding downwards though, as Thursday’s force 3 WNW’ly breeze veers to a NNW’ly on Friday. Daily maxima of 22°C on Thursday and 21°C on Friday. Nightly minima of 16°C on Thursday night and 14°C on Friday night.
Surf and the Water
Further flatness for surfers, and further lovely smoothness for swimmers (east coast on Thursday, south coast on Friday). Tides will be high around breakfast time and just before dusk (ranging from 8.3m to 8.8m). Lows will be in the early afternoons.
The Weekend
Weather
Another couple of sunny days for the most part, although Sunday afternoon looks as though it may turn cloudy, with the slight chance of a shower or two overnight. Winds will be light to moderate NNE’ly on Saturday and then almost flat calm on Sunday, thus making Sunday likely to be a tad warmer than Saturday, max temps rising from 21°C to 22 or 23°C.
Surf and the Water
Same old words as so many recent days repeated… flat surf, but good swimming conditions, especially down on the south coast. Tides will be high in the mid-mornings and just after dusk (ranging from 8.6m to 8.9m). Lows will be in the late afternoons.
Next Week
Weather
It looks as though Monday might see a spell of proper rain, and then there’s the chance of a bit more (but probably not as much) on either Thursday or Friday. The majority of the week is looking dry and partly sunny though, with light S’ly breezes bringing marginally higher than average temperatures… the daily maxima likely being between 22°C and 25°C.
Surf and the Water
With some low pressure systems finally being granted access to the North Atlantic, thanks to the departure of July’s ridiculously persistent high, we should finally see some regular surf. None of it very big, only really ranging between 1 and 3 feet, but proper rideable swell nonetheless. High tides will nudge forward each day, from late morning in the first half of the week to lunchtime in the second. Tide heights reducing from 8.5m on Monday to 7.3m by Friday.
The next forecast update will be on Friday evening…
