Our client, based in the picturesque St Peter Port, Guernsey, is seeking an experienced and client-focused professional to join their team as an Assistant Manager/Manager. This is an exciting, high-impact role where you will work closely with the Manager to support and develop the team, oversee client portfolios, and ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory standards. Skills You’ll Bring to the Role: Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with a diverse portfolio of clients. Corporate Governance Knowledge: Demonstrate sound understanding of statutory requirements, governance frameworks, and industry best practices. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication with a proven track record in drafting clear and concise meeting minutes. Organisational Abilities: Highly methodical with the aptitude to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work. Leadership and Mentoring: A keen ability to support team members, offering guidance and driving continuous improvement in internal processes. What You’ll Do: Act as the main point of contact for clients, enhancing relationships and delivering exceptional service. Lead and oversee client onboarding and attend important Board and General Meetings when required. Manage bespoke governance projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Assist in the training and mentoring of junior team members to help them grow and succeed. Prepare, review, and ensure timely completion of statutory filings and relevant documentation. What You’ll Need: 5+ years of experience in the finance sector, particularly in company secretarial, fund administration, or trust administration roles. A track record of successfully managing and mentoring junior staff. Working knowledge of client onboarding and due diligence processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning new software tools. A commitment to continuous learning in corporate governance principles and industry regulations. Why Join?
