The Role We are looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to support the Head Chef & Senior Sous in our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef ready to take the next step in their career, with a strong focus on quality, leadership, and operational excellence. The role is 48 hours over a 5.5 day period. Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes consistently Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence Assist with menu development, including seasonal and creative input Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships Maintain strict food hygiene, health, and safety standards Control food costs, reduce waste, and maximise efficiency Train and mentor junior team members About You Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up with a proven track record Passion for fresh, quality ingredients and a mix of traditional & modern cooking techniques Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to perform under pressure in a busy kitchen Good organisational and time management skills Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards Creative mindset with attention to detail What We Offer Competitive salary package, basic & bonus.
