Our client is a privately owned and independent trust company providing bespoke fiduciary services to its international client base. This position reports to the Associate Director and involves managing a team of administrators in all aspects of trust and company administration, ensuring the day-to-day running of the team and its systems. The successful candidate will assist the Trust Directors in meeting team utilisation and other targets, as well as adhering to all internal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will be responsible for familiarising themselves with all clients within the team and managing an allocated portfolio. The role also encompasses managing and delegating tasks to team members while aiding their development through appropriate training. Furthermore, the Trust Manager will handle complex operational and managerial problems with support from the Team Manager and Directors. Job Duties Build and maintain solid relationships with clients and intermediaries. Ensure deadlines are met while providing high standards of client service. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements for the company’s clients. Minimise debts and provide details to senior management as required. Ensure the training and development of administration staff within the team. Manage the team with support from the Directors and attend management meetings as necessary. Contribute towards the enhancement and development of internal practices and procedures. Provide regular management information to senior management, clearly outlining the team’s progress and position. Job Requirements A relevant professional qualification, e.g. STEP or ICSA. A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in the trust industry. Sound knowledge of trust and company administration, financial transaction recording, and understanding of financial reports and relevant regulatory requirements. Proven track record of client service excellence. Evidence of successful client engagement experience. Demonstrated ability to meet billing and cash collection targets and deadlines. Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills. Ability to drive and execute tasks and manage others effectively. Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork. Previous management experience is desirable but not essential.
