Our client is a locally based organisation operating within the capital markets sector, with an increasing international footprint. Due to continued development within the regulatory function, an Assistant Manager is required to support day-to-day operational activity within the Market Regulation team, based in Guernsey. The Role Reporting to the Manager within the Market Regulation function, this role will play a key part in the ongoing supervision and monitoring of market activity. The position offers exposure to a broad range of regulatory responsibilities and interaction with member firms and listed issuers. Key Responsibilities • Delivering proactive, service-focused engagement with member firms • Leading risk-based market monitoring and supervision activities • Conducting onsite supervisory visits and producing detailed reports with findings and recommendations • Supporting the preparation and delivery of management information and regulatory reporting for internal stakeholders, committees and board-level review • Contributing to the effective operation and development of regulatory processes Candidate Profile • Strong judgement when working with partial, ambiguous or complex information • Analytical and investigative mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Sound understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements • Relevant professional qualification desirable (e.g. ICA or CISI) What’s in It for You? • Opportunity to work within the capital markets sector • Exposure to regulatory oversight and supervisory activity • A role offering responsibility, professional development and progression within a growing function
