Temporary FTTP Installation Technician

Our client is looking for candidates to join the Guernsey Fibre team as a FTTP Installation Technician on a fixed-term contract basis, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful individual will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning residential and business fibre broadband services, alongside associated wiring systems, WiFi routers, and terminals. This role will require working in various weather conditions and at heights to install and repair services, which involves climbing poles and using ladders. A full valid driving licence is mandatory for all candidates. Job Duties Install, test, and commission fibre broadband services for residential and business customers. Carry out fibre optic installation and support duties at customer premises. Work at heights to install and repair services as needed. Follow established working practices and procedures to ensure safety and quality of service. Provide excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with clients. Job Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow working practices and procedures accurately. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Capability to work at heights, including both ladder and telephone pole tasks. Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
