Main duties:
- Create and conduct tours in French, English or German.
- Take part in the maintenance of the museum.
- Supervise the garden.
- Welcome visitors and manage the tour schedule.
- Provide cover at the tickets office and gift shop when needed.
Required skills:
Education: History, Art History, Literature, Tourism.
Languages: Fluent in French and English (mandatory). German would be an asset.
Personal qualities: Good interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm for sharing. knowledge, team spirit. Ability to adapt and react quickly. Good organizational skills, rigorous, and professional presentation.
Specific constraints: High availability required. Possibility of evening work.
Salary and employment conditions:
- Approximately £1,923 gross per month (£1,640 net after social security and income tax deductions). Fixed monthly salary, with potential overtime and payment for worked public holidays.
- Employment contract under local law for 5 to 6 months, 37 hours per week. Two days off per week, non-consecutive. Paid leave at the end of the contract (2 days per month).
- Possibility of pension contribution by the employer. Employer covers the cost of the employment permit.
- Homestay accommodation arranged by the museum (for UK candidates). Rent paid by the employee.
