Our client- a reputable financial services business as a Senior Finance Administrator on a 6-7 month maternity cover contract. The role focuses on maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring smooth payment processing, and assisting with finance reporting.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring vendors are paid promptly.
  • Handling vendor queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Preparing weekly reconciliations and providing explanations for outstanding balances.
  • Producing and analysing daily financial reports in line with internal policies.
  • Maintaining system interest rates and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Managing the petty cash register and reconciling transactions.
  • Assisting with the monthly financial close and reporting cycle.
  • Supporting the finance team during internal and external audits.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's experience within a finance department, ideally working with purchase ledger systems. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other finance-related applications. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, accurate under pressure, and comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues, management, and external vendors.
