This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, independent fiduciary and fund administration business as a Senior Compliance Officer. Based in Guernsey, the successful candidate will work in a small open-plan office with a collaborative, family-oriented atmosphere. This key role offers strong long-term prospects, including potential progression to a more senior leadership position for the right individual. Responsibilities Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: • Acting as Deputy Compliance Officer, Deputy MLCO, Nominated Officer, and Data Protection Officer. • Supporting the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance in developing the compliance function. • Leading daily compliance activity for both fiduciary and fund services, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations. • Overseeing the Compliance Team, managing the day-to-day workload and supporting staff training. • Completing the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) using systems such as Hyperion. • Reviewing and approving onboarding for client entities; managing CDD and background checks through Verify, DigiHub, and Riskscreen. • Processing FATCA/CRS forms and monitoring GFSC PQ submissions. • Coordinating ML/FT/PF and data protection training for staff and the Board. • Managing SARs as Nominated Officer, including investigation, external reporting and liaison with the FIU. • Maintaining data breach and SAR registers, ensuring compliance with Data Protection Law. • Reviewing updates from the GFSC and Themis and implementing relevant changes to policy or practice. • Providing accurate and timely management information and reporting to the Board. The Ideal Candidate The successful applicant will have at least five years’ experience working in compliance within the fiduciary and fund sectors and should be ICA Diploma qualified or willing to work towards the qualification. A strong understanding of fiduciary and fund structures is essential, alongside a working knowledge of regulatory submissions and onboarding tools. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities without supervision. Experience with Microsoft 365 is essential, and familiarity with systems such as Acumen, M-Files, DigiHub, Hyperion and Riskscreen is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
