A respected construction company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Contract Manager to join its Small Works division. This role focuses on the commercial and contractual management of smaller-scale construction projects, ensuring cost control, profitability, and effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and payment applications. • Manage subcontract tendering, negotiation, and financial accounting. • Liaise with clients and third parties on variations, claims, and commercial issues. • Ensure appropriate contract terms and manage any commercial risks. • Work closely with site teams to monitor budgets, expenditure, and cash recovery. • Support and contribute to best practice in cost management processes. • Comply with company health and safety policies and regulations. Skills and Experience Required • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction discipline preferred. • Experience in quantity surveying or contract management, ideally on small to medium projects. • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Knowledge of relevant contract processes and procedures.
