Accounting, Bookkeeping, Part-time Our client is seeking a Temporary Assistant Accountant to support their finance team until 15 January 2026. This is a part-time role based in Jersey, working four hours per day, Monday to Friday. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual seeking flexible hours while applying their accounting skills in a supportive office environment. Job Duties:
Perform daily bookkeeping and data entry tasks Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Support invoice processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Generate basic financial reports as needed Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders including auditors and suppliers
Job Requirements:
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Flexible and adaptable approach in a dynamic environment Proactive and deadline-driven mindset
