Business Analysts, IT Our client is seeking an IT Business Analyst to act as a conduit between business units and the IT department, ensuring the smooth translation of business requirements into IT solutions. This full-time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) focuses on refining and implementing IT initiatives that enhance the customer experience. The successful candidate will liaise with stakeholders, gather and document business requirements, oversee development projects, and support testing, training, and implementation.

Job Duties:

Consult with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements. Prepare and refine business requirement specifications, including test cases and flowcharts. Facilitate peer-group testing and ensure business sign-off before development. Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and track project progress. Conduct testing to ensure IT solutions align with business specifications. Identify and report any issues for resolution before final deployment. Prepare training materials and provide end-user training. Liaise with business teams for testing, feedback, and approvals. Manage project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications. Monitor and report on project status, risks, and budgets. Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests. Support website CMS updates as required. Lead stand-ups and project meetings to maintain progress and accountability. Recommend innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Requirements:

Experience in IT business analysis, preferably within the airline industry. Understanding of passenger airline business models, reservation systems, and distribution structures. Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and business process design. Strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills. Familiarity with PPS functionalities, including IBE, DCS, and reporting tools. Working knowledge of airline reservation systems or GDS platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Experience in application development and the software development lifecycle. Knowledge of website development functionality is desirable. Ability to work in a decentralised corporate environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset. Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail. A university degree or significant airline industry experience. Ability to travel as required.
