The Position
This is an opportunity to join an established privately owned trust and corporate services provider who has provided solutions to individuals, families and corporations for over 45 years. A forward thinking company who offer a flexible range of trust and corporate services.
Responsibilities
• Administers a portfolio with a lesser degree of supervision, including:
Management of WIP and Debtors on own portfolio
Assisting with / interpretation of Investment Reviews and completion of action points
Completion of annual reviews
Distribution checklists
• Liaise directly and timely with clients and professional advisers in relation to ‘business as usual’ administration matters including drafting and issuing routine and complex correspondence and emails with prior approval by Line Manager where required;
• Principal use of electronic banking systems for the preparation and authorisation of payments for trusts and companies, bookkeeping of payments and receipts and reconciling of bank accounts;
• Ensuring accurate records are maintained for all trusts and companies under administration e.g. companies and trusts database, safe custody, etc.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a sound fiduciary and commercial acumen in the execution of the role and have a detailed knowledge and understanding of internal procedures and industry best practice.
• Be involved in the preparation of, and attendance at client meetings and follow up on action points;
• Proactively participate in the Fort Group’s development process; to include personal development and coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues;
• To promote the business where possible and to identify enhancement of the service offered by Fort where applicable;
• Focus on chargeable time, manage and record own time effectively.
Experience
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in trust or corporate administration;

Skills & Qualifications
• Likely to either possess or be studying for a relevant professional qualification (e.g. STEP, ICSA);
• High level of ability to read and interpret the Laws of the various jurisdictions, Company Memorandum and Articles of Association and Trust Deeds;
• Constitution of Trusts, an understanding of the ‘three certainties’;
• Knowledge of company and trust law and the regulatory environment
